Project Description Country: USA Location: Boise Total Budget: $1,750 Areas of Focus: Basic education and literacy, Community economic development Activity Type: Education: General Summary: Provide Garfield elementary PE supplies in the form of gym safe golf equipment We will be partnering with First Tee (the name of the Idaho Chapter is Idaho Youth Golf Association) to provide Garfield Elementary (or another Title 1 school as needed) equipment and initial training with gym safe golf equipment. The kit both provides PE equipment but also includes a STEM corriculumn. The kit that the school gets to keep is $1750. Our volunteer time will be spent both helping with the delivery and volunteering at First Tee's North Boise facility where they mentor at risk youth while teaching them to play golf.
