Project Description Country: USA Location: Johnstown Total Budget: $3,800 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Education: General Summary: Scholarships for our Student of the Month & Year program These funds will support our Student of the Month and Year program for the 2025-2026 School year. Students must submit an application at the begining of the school year along with a resume and letter of reference to be considered for being selected for the student of the month. We select 9 students, one for each month of the school year. Each of these students must attend a club meeting and make an in-person presentation to the club that highlights their achievements, community service and the plan for their future. We then vote as a club for a student of the year out of these 9 students. All the students are recognized at the annual Senior honors night in May prior to graduation. We award $200 to each student of the Month for a total of $1,800 and then the student of the year receives $2,000 in addition. In order to meet the available DDF it was determined that we need to reduce the 3 tier levels to the next lower tier or $1,000. I have cancelled your signature process and reduced your DDF request by $500. You will need to either reduce the total budget for your grant or increase your club giving by $500 so it balances.
