Summary: Approximately 700 Third Graders in the Western Treasure Valley
According to Dictionary Project Educators third grade is seen as the dividing line between learning to read and reading to learn. WTV Rotary wants to give third graders dictionaries, an essential tool to assist students in receiving a quality education. By the first quarter of 2027, approximately 15 Rotarians will be working with around 12 schools in the WTV representing 26 classrooms and approximately 700 third grade students. During the presentation of the dictionaries, we orient the students to the dictionaries; as well as talk about the good that our service organization provides in the way of education, such as scholarships in the future as well as our other major service project which is the local Rotary Park. The project funds will pay for the dictionaries and the Rotary 4 Way Test bookplates posted on the first page of each dictionary. In addition to the" A Students Dictionary" we will also be distributing the "Webster'sSpanish/English Dictionary" for Hispanic Students.

Hi Karen, You might tweak your project description a little to clearly indicate what the Rotarians are doing for this project and how many of them will participate. When you're satisfied with your application, click "start club signature process" on the administration side of the description tab. Applications must be signed by the project manager & the 2026-27 club president no later than June 1st. Thanks!
