Summary: Interior, accessibility and landscape improvements to a group home for adults with disabilities
Beneficiaries: CAPC (Community Advocates for People's Choice) is a Whittier non-profit advocating and empowering individuals with disabilities. CAPC serves 89 individuals, with approximately 36 individuals benefitting from housing, supported living or independent living opportunities. As part of these overall services, CAPC operates a group house for some of their clients.
Project: The house mentioned above needs some maintenance and improvements. The three main areas of focus include: (1) Interior beautification and painting; (2) American Disability Act (ADA) accessibility improvements to the front entry of the home; and (3) Backyard community garden installation.

This project is "Approved". This means that the district leadership has reviewed and approved the allocation of district funds for this project. Once the funds from the district have been issued, the status of the project will be changed to "Paid".
