Summary: Portable shower service for unhoused individuals in the Pacific Beach, SD at Shoreline Community Services.
Shoreline Community Service is a 501c(3) serving unhoused individuals in the Pacific Beach area for over ten years. They help address the needs over the homeless. This inculdes transportation places to obtain documents such as, Social Security Office, DMV,Veteran Affairs and medican appointments. They also provide transportation to for reunification with family or friends after vetting. Most need help with hygiene issues such as showers, wash machines, hair cuts and clean underwear. A portable shower service comes to their location on a regular basis and showers can we used by the individuals with clean underwear provided as well.
The first six month of 2026 775 showers were provided at a cost of $8761.00 A $1500 grant for the District Rotary with a matching grant from our club will provide 272 showers. Club members are welcome to volunteer to assist with services options.
