Six binational pediatric health jornadas delivering disease prevention, early intervention, and specialized treatment services to underserved children in Tijuana, Mexico, improving access to care through collaboration with U.S. healthcare professionals.
Program funds will be used to support the planning and delivery of six specialized pediatric health Jornadas in Tijuana, Mexico. Funding will cover essential medical supplies and equipment, patient care materials, adaptive devices (such as wheelchairs and braces), surgical and clinical support costs, and educational resources for families. Additionally, funds will help facilitate provider training, coordination of binational medical teams, and logistical needs to ensure each Jornada operates effectively and reaches underserved children who lack access to these services.
Club members will play an active and meaningful role in supporting the program through hands-on volunteer opportunities that complement each Jornada. This may include assembling care kits (e.g., autism support kits with sensory tools and educational materials), preparing patient and family resource packets, assisting with event setup and coordination, and supporting community outreach efforts. These activities provide members with direct engagement in the program's impact while strengthening community connection and support for participating families.
