Project Description Region: Africa Country: Rwanda Location: Burera Total Budget: $500,000 Areas of Focus: Disease prevention and treatment, Maternal and child health In Rwanda's Northern Province, children with disabilities have almost no access to specialised care. The Shenge Children Organisation runs the only centre of its kind, providing physiotherapy, education, family support and home-based rehabilitation. This project expands the centre to serve up to 100 children per year in Burera District. Grant funds will support facility expansion, therapy and educational equipment, therapist and staff capacity, and family/home-rehabilitation outreach. Timeline: 2026â€"2031. Host partners include the Rotary Clubs of Kigali Golf and Upper Kololo with the Shenge Children Organisation.
