Project Description Country: USA Location: Laguna Beach Total Budget: $5,000 Area of Focus: Community economic development Activity Type: Food/Agriculture: General Summary: The program will supply a low income family of 6 a Thanksgiving meal package. Thanksgiving Care Package Program supplies a low income family of 6 a food package for all meals on Thanksgiving day. The program will touch and estimated 90 families that meet thje federal definition of low income family. With the challenging economy, many families are unable to afford a traditional Thanksgiving deal meal for their families. The Rotary Club of Laguna Beach will supply a care package to these families for breakfast lunch and dinner. The club and their interact club will work shop, put together and distribute the care packages the days prior to the Thanksgiving day holiday in 2013.
