Project Description Country: USA Location: Orange county Total Budget: $1,200 Area of Focus: Peacebuilding and conflict prevention Activity Type: Peace: General Summary: OC digital will be working with Higher Ground students, Rotarians and local artists to create a Peace Pole for the facility. The Rotary Club of OC digital will be working with Higher Ground students, Rotarians and local artists to create a Peace Pole for the facility. The Peace Pole will be designed with copper, ceramic and wood to be placed so the children and community can witness their depiction of peace. The pole will have inscribed the word PEACE in difference languages formed in ceramic by children and Rotarians. Copper plates will be placed on the pole etched with designs that represent Peace to the community. OC Digital will work with Higher Ground to select a date in September so the students can mosaic tile the pole and design their copper plates.
