Project Description Country: USA Location: Ansley, Nebraska Total Budget: $380 Area of Focus: Community economic development Activity Type: Community Development: General Summary: Mainstreet sidewalk beautification project - Ansley, Nebraska The Ansley Area Rotary Club, a companion/satellite club with Broken Bow Area Rotary Club, is applying for the District Rotary Grant with plans to use the funds to initiate a sidewalk beautification project on Main Street in our community. The Club intends to start with the purchase of an attractive planter to be filled with a variety of flowers and plants from our local SunValley Green House. In addition to improving the appearance of our community, this project will be a source of support to a local business. Ansley's Municipal Auditorium would be an ideal location for this first planter, which would enhance the landscape surrounding the building. This project provides the opportunity to expand with additional planters in other Main Street locations in the future. Members of the Club have committed to watering and caring for the plants through the spring and summer seasons. The Club will supply the required matching funds and will complete the project by the spring of 2025. Broken Bow Area Rotary voted to share its District grant allocation with its newly formed Satellite club Ansley Area Rotary. Club members are committed to maintaining the plants throughout the spring-summer-fall seasons with plans to replant again next year.
