Project Description

Country: USA

Location: Twin Falls

Total Budget: $7,000

Area of Focus: Maternal and child health

Activity Type: Health: General

Summary: Provide Departure and Home Preparation kits to Parents of BPD Patients

T-Rex little lungs provides emotional and financial support to Idaho Families who have children with Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia (BPD) during hospital stays, out of state care and the transition home. When children are diagnosed with BPD the parent and baby have to transport to a specialty hospital hastily. There is no time to prepare a bag or prep for the transition. We will assist in putting together departure bags by purchasing the needed items as well as putting the bags together. When the child is released from the hospital there are many specialty items that the family needs that are costly and not easy to find. We will help in purchasing these items as well and putting together come home kits. These kits provide much needed items to the families affected by BPD. We plan to prepare, complete, and provide 5 Departure kits and 3 Home Preparation kits

I see lots of receipts uploaded to your Documents. Are you finished with the project? You need to report by May 15, 2026. If your project is finished, please complete your final report. The form is available on the administration side of the Description tab. Upload the report and any other receipts/documents showing expenses - all in pdf format - to the Documents area of your grant. Then click "reported" on the administration side of the Description tab. Otherwise enter a history log reporting your progress and when you anticipate completion.Reporting must be current for your club to be eligible for a 2026-27 district grant.

Grant was reverted to paid but there is no instructions as to why it was reverted to paid and what is missing. Can someone let us know

Sorry but I tried to add explanation twice and it did not record, so let's try again. The committee reverted your grant and as per the Rotary Foundation guidelines, Gift Cards cannot be issued as part of a grant. Following are the Guidelines from the Foundation:"Unrestricted cash donations to a person or cooperating organization". It is considered Unrestricted Cash Donations. The committee's preference would be that the club spend an additional amount equal to the gift card to purchase and build more kits per the description in their application. A not so favored option would be to return a portion of the money to the District. In that the club spent more on the project than was proposed, we think it would need to return about $450.
