In order to help reduce pet abandonment and support public health and well-being, RCVP with work with OC Animal Care to provide and distribute cat and dog food to low-income families and individuals in OC to help ensure that companion animals can remain in loving homes rather being surrendered or abandoned. A total of $750 will be used to support this project.
The project will begin planning after approval from TRF and will be completed by April 30th, 2026. An estimated 6-10 RCVP members will participate in a monthly Pet Pantry distribution, as well as assisting with food packaging and distribution, transporting donated supplies to the pantry site, organizing inventory and restocking, supporting registration and on-site coordination.
