Summary: Clean up/beautification of south beach at Lake Maloney to help benefit community families and activities in North Platte, Nebraska.
|
There is a large need for routine clean up and beautification of south beach at Lake Maloney in North Platte, Nebraska. Much of the community uses this area as a place of recreation and fun. Due to large amount of flora and washed up sticks, the beach tends to get disheveled if not maintained. Grant funds would be used to help rent a tilling machine to help control weeds along the sandy banks along with various cleaning accessories (trash bags, shovels, signage, and trash cans). Club members volunteer there time to help clean up the trash, flora, and sticks along with running the tilling machine. This clean up is done multiple times through out the summer, especially before and after holidays.
