El Centro Rotary Club will support Health and Well-Being Programs that help the hungry and foster children during the 2025-26 Rotary Year including:
1. Imperial Valley Food Bank: Annual Backpack Program, $500: Annual contribution supports weekend backpacks with nutritious shelf stable and kid-friendly snacks during the school year to K-12 schoolchildren experiencing food insecurity.
2. CHARLEE Homes, $500: Annual contribution to support programs for local children to receive foster family, therapeutic behavioral, and mental health services.
3. Imperial County Sheriff's Office, National Child Safety Council, $200: Annual contribution which support basic safety education, including drug prevention, stranger danger, and other community safety concerns, to 100 area schoolchildren.
4. Police Activities League, PAL, $500: Annual contribution to support sports and boxing programs for area at-risk youth.
Addendum to Project Description (added after the project was signed)
El Centro Rotary Club supported other initiatives at the Imperial Valley Food Bank outside of the grant ask and shifted to providing more funding to the National Child Safety Council ($600 instead of $200) and PAL ($1581.26 instead of $500)
