Project Title: KPBSD Students In Transition


Project Description

1. Describe the project. What was done, when and where did project activities take place?

Provide funding to the students in transition program to augment their ability to provide essential services to homeless and near homeless school children. Originally this project was called " Blessing Bags" but as of last year RY24-25, the program requested more individualized aid to needy students by funding essentials such as blankets, clothing, toiletries, school supplies, etc.

2. How many people benefited from this project? 60 to 80 students. exact number is not known

3. Who were the beneficiaries, how were they impacted by this project, and what humanitarian need was met?

Homeless and near homeless school children as determined by the Kenai Peninsula School District coordinator

4. How many Rotarians participated in the project? 6

5. What did they do? Please give at least two examples, not including financial support provided to the project.

Rotary members worked with the organization on project planning to determine the essentials needing to be purchased for the children who are homeless or who are in transition.
