Project Title: Happy & Smart Schools â€" Empowering 2,000 Underprivileged Children

1. Executive Summary
Rotary Club Moradabad Navyam seeks the support of an international donor to implement the “Happy & Smart Schools†initiative in selected schools in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, India.
The project aims to improve the educational environment for approximately 2,000 underprivileged children by providing essential infrastructure, digital learning facilities, safe drinking water, educational equipment, and improved sanitation facilities.
Many children from economically disadvantaged families attend schools that have limited access to modern educational resources and basic facilities. Through this project, we intend to create safe, hygienic, technology-enabled and joyful learning environments where children can learn, grow and develop the skills required for a better future.
2. Project Objectives
The major objectives of the project are:
To improve the quality of education for approximately 2,000 underprivileged children.
To provide access to digital and technology-based learning.
To ensure access to safe and purified drinking water.
To improve sanitation and hygiene facilities for girls and boys.
To provide modern educational equipment and learning resources.
To create attractive, child-friendly and “Happy & Smart Classrooms.â€
To reduce the digital divide between children from disadvantaged communities and their more privileged peers.
3. Proposed Interventions
With international grant support, Rotary Club Moradabad Navyam proposes to provide the following facilities in selected schools:
A. Safe Drinking Water
Installation of RO-based water purification systems and water coolers to ensure children have access to safe and clean drinking water throughout the school day.
B. Computer Laboratories
Creation/upgradation of computer laboratories equipped with computers and essential digital infrastructure to introduce children to technology and improve their digital literacy.
C. Smart Classrooms
Setting up Smart Classrooms with appropriate educational technology, digital teaching aids, displays/projectors and other required equipment to make classroom teaching interactive and engaging.
D. Educational Equipment
Providing schools with essential educational and learning materials, teaching aids and other equipment required to improve the overall learning experience.
E. Sanitation Facilities
Improving and/or establishing separate, hygienic sanitation facilities for girls and boys, with special attention to cleanliness, privacy, menstrual hygiene and dignity.
4. Beneficiaries
The primary beneficiaries will be approximately:
2,000 children from economically disadvantaged families studying in selected schools in Moradabad.
The project will also indirectly benefit:
Teachers and school staff
Parents and families
Future generations of students
The wider local community
5. Expected Impact
The project is expected to generate measurable improvements in the participating schools, including:
Approximately 2,000 children gaining access to improved educational facilities.
Increased exposure to digital learning and computer education.

6. Sustainability

Schools will be encouraged to:
Maintain the RO and water-cooling systems regularly.
Properly maintain computer laboratories and smart-class equipment.
Maintain sanitation facilities through regular cleaning and monitoring.
Integrate digital learning into their regular curriculum.
Encourage teachers to use the educational technology provided.
Participate in periodic monitoring and impact assessment.
Rotary Club Moradabad Navyam will monitor implementation and work with participating schools to ensure that the facilities remain functional and continue benefiting children over the long term.
7. Rotary's Role
Rotary Club Moradabad Navyam, under Rotary District 3100, will coordinate the project locally and will be responsible for:
Identification and assessment of beneficiary schools.
Coordination with school management.
Procurement and installation of equipment.
Project implementation and supervision.
Monitoring of facilities.
Documentation of beneficiaries and project activities.
Impact assessment and reporting to the donor.
Ensuring appropriate recognition of donor support.
8. Partnership Opportunity
