Summary: RCVP will work with Frost Fund to build specialized enrichment structures at the Orange County Bird of Prey Center including hawk huts, large wooden ladders, and custom perches.


Primary needs include construction of 5-7 hawk huts, 3 large wooden ladders, 3 custom perches to aid in the rehabilitation of injured hawks, eagles, and owls by providing stimulating environments critical to their recovery and well-being. A total of $1500 will be used for building materials and rental of tools or additional equipment as needed.

The project will begin planning and coordinating with Frost Fund after approval from TRF. Project is anticipated to be completed in 1-2 days and completed before October 31, 2025. An estimated 10-20 RCVP members will be involved in the building (working under the guidance of Frost Fund's architect), transporting and installation of structures at the OC Bird of Prey Center in Lake Forest, CA. This engagement will provide hands-on community service and education opportunities for Club members.
